Andrew Terraciano will not return in CBS's Boston Blue after playing the same role in the original 14 seasons of Blue Bloods. Terraciano's character, Sean Reagan, the son of Danny Reagan, will now be recast by Mika Amonsen.

Amonsen will play the youngest Reagan son who moves to Beantown with his dad to work as a patrolman for the Boston Police Department in the spinoff show. Donnie Wahlberg's character Danny Reagan will move from being a New York Police Department detective to joining the Boston Police Department, where he will be paired with Lena Silver, played by Sonequa Martin-Green.

CBS stated that Sean “relocated to Boston to start a new chapter as a Boston PD patrolman. Sean committed himself to pursuing his family’s legacy but wanted to do so on his own terms, which meant joining a department outside of his hometown. Danny’s decision to relocate to Boston gives this father and son duo a chance to reconnect on a deeper level.”

Terraciano, 22, appeared in all but one of the 293 episodes of the primetime network show Blue Bloods. Siblings Sean and Jack Reagan were played by real-life brothers Andrew and Tony Terraciano -- who parted ways with the show in season 9 in pursuit of a medical career.

Other series regulars will reappear, such as Maggie Lawson as Sarah Silver, Marcus Scribner as Jonah Silver, Gloria Reuben as Mae Silver, and Ernie Hudson as Reverend Peters.

Amonsen made his on-screen debut in 2017 and has appeared in Designated Survivor, Suits, Reacher, and Pachinko.
