Brad Pitt and Tom Cruises Rare Reunion at F1 Premiere: A Throwback to Interview with the Vampire and Their Shared Love for the Film Industry
On June 23, 2023, two Hollywood icons reunited on the red carpet at the London premiere of Brad Pitt's latest movie, F1. The two actors, who last starred together in 1994's Interview with the Vampire, posed for photos and greeted each other with warm hugs. Pitt, 61, looked sharp in a green double-breasted suit and flashy orange sunglasses, while Cruise, 62, wore a dark gray suit and aviators. The two actors have several regular collaborators in common, including director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who also worked on Cruise's 2022 hit Top Gun: Maverick. F1 is a Formula One racing drama directed by Kosinski and produced by Bruckheimer. Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a retired racer returning to Formula One in a fictional team. The film also stars Damson Idris, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. Cruise and Pitt's reunion at the F1 premiere is a rare sight for fans of both actors. Although they have only worked together onscreen in Interview with the Vampire, they have several regular collaborators in common. In an interview back in April at CinemaCon 2025, Cruise praised Pitt's driving skills, saying "He's a very good driver. Believe me, I’ve raced against him." Earlier this month, Pitt told E! News that he is open to working with his old costar again, but with one condition: "I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplanes and s--- like that, so… when he does something again that’s on the ground." In addition to F1, Pitt also stars in the upcoming David Ayer film Heart of the Beast. Among Cruise’s upcoming projects are a WWII drama Broadsword and an untitled Alejandro Iñárritu film due in 2026. The two actors' reunion at the F1 premiere is a reminder of their long-standing friendship and their shared love for the film industry. It's also a sign of the continued success and relevance of both actors in Hollywood.
