Fans Choose KATSEYE’s ‘Beautiful Chaos’ as This Week’s Favorite New Music

Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (June 27)onBillboard, choosing the global girl group’s five-song collection as their favorite new music release of the past week.

KATSEYE’s release brought in an overwhelming 50% of the vote.
It’s a two-week winning streak for KATSEYE — Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae — on Billboard‘s weekly poll. New last week was the six-piece act’s single “Gabriela,” which arrived just before the group’s full EP and ruled listeners’ new music ranking upon release: 43% of voters made it their top pick, according to results published on June 22.
Beautiful Chaos was led by hyperpop single “Gnarly,” the group’s breakthrough that had them charting on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time. The track list is rounded out by “Gabriela” (which was accompanied by a telenovela-inspired music video starring Jessica Alba), plus new songs “Gamesboy,” “Mean Girls” and “M.I.A.”
Among the new releases trailing behind Beautiful Chaoson this week’s poll are Alex Warren and ROSÉ’s collab “On My Mind,” with 25% of the vote; Lorde’s Virgin album, with 10% of the vote, and aespa’s “Dirty Work,” with close to 3% of the vote.
