Fantastic Four Video Shows How MCU Movie Was Made Practically

Marvel Studios has released a brand new The Fantastic Four: First Steps video for its highly anticipated superhero movie, which serves as the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6. The movie will be arriving in theaters on July 25, 2025.
“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” reads the official synopsis. “Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”

What is shown in the new Fantastic Four MCU video?
The video provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the long-awaited MCU debut of Marvel’s first family. It features Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and director Matt Shakman as they discuss what it’s like to bring a new iteration of the fan-favorite team to life. The featurette highlights how the creative team created the movie’s retro-futuristic world with practical sets of the Baxter Building. Besides its incredible sets, Shakman also talked about the team’s practical blue and white suits.

The movie will be led by franchise newcomers Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/ Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Additional cast members include Natasha Lyone (Poker Face), Julia Garner (Ozark) as the Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson (Harry Potter) as Galactus, and Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird). Before the rights reverted to Marvel Studios, the titular team was previously adapted into live-action by Sony Pictures twice. Their first iteration spawned two movies, which starred Chris Evans as the Human Torch.
