Developer Sucker Punch Productions is currently celebrating Ghost of Tsushima’s fifth anniversary with the gaming community. As a way to give back, players can bag a free reward currently on offer. Ghost of Tsushima had a significant impact on the gaming industry upon its 2020 launch, presenting samurai Jin Sakai’s mission to protect Tsushima Island from the harrowing Mongol invasion of Japan. Set in 1274, Tsushima offered a balanced escape between picturesque exploration and intense combat, and five years later, fans are welcoming its successor title with open arms.
Ghost of Yotei received its official reveal during Sony’s State of Play showcase back in September 2024, and soon became one of the most anticipated projects on players' wishlists. Early Ghost of Yotei details have introduced protagonist Atsu to the player base ahead of time, revealing her mission to hunt down the Yotei Six, her ability to turn bounty hunter, and her steering away from the samurai code. Even though some fans wished Jin had returned for a sequel, Atsu seems like a fascinating character to adventure with.
