Another HGTV series has reportedly been added to the chopping block. Battle on the Beach co-host Alison Victoria recently opened up about the end of the series in a podcast interview, and she didn't hold back in sharing why she thought the show wouldn't be back.

Victoria, who co-hosted the beachfront property renovation series with HGTV alum Ty Pennington and Taniya Nayak, spoke out about the cancelation during an interview on her Pap Smear podcast with Parks and Rec star Retta, who also co-hosts Ugliest House in America with the designer. “I did a show called Battle on the Beach. I love that show," Victoria explained. "It was so fun and funny."

House Beautiful has reached out to HGTV for comment and is awaiting a reply.

The series co-host went on to share that she felt concerned about the series when she watched the episode she had filmed. "And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I’m like, well, where’d all that [great content] go? I get it, it’s a lot of content to try to put into 42 minutes, but where is it? Where’s the great editing?" Victoria admitted that she was concerned the series, which had run for four seasons, wouldn't be picked up again. And apparently she was correct. "Battle on the Beach did not get picked back up,” Victoria said on her podcast, “which is sad, because it was like adult spring break.”

Despite the reported end of Battle on the Beach, Victoria and her co-host Taniya Nayak remain close friends. The pair even spent July 4th weekend together, according to Nayak's Instagram account.

While HGTV has not yet confirmed news that Battle on the Beach has been canceled, the home renovation channel has been going through a spate of cancelations recently. Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It and Bargain Block have all been canceled, much to the dismay of HGTV fans. Much like Victoria's announcement, these cancelations were shared by the series' stars and not by the network itself. Farmhouse Fixer's Jonathan Knight shared the news on Instagram, writing that he was "sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season. While I’m still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past 3 seasons."

It appears to be a time of change for HGTV, and fans are anxious to find out what happens next.
