Hallmark Star Throws His Hat Into the Ring for 'Dancing With the Stars' originally appeared on Parade.

It takes two to tango, and Hallmark Channel star Victor Webster had to put on his dancing shoes and learn the steps of the dance that began in Argentina for the latest Hannah Swensen Mystery, Pie to Die For in which he co-stars with Alison Sweeney.

Brushing up on his dancing skills led to Webster admitting in an interview with EntertainmentNow that he would be open to joining the cast of ABC’s hit dance competition Dancing with the Stars for its 34th season.

“You know why I would do it? I’m not a reality TV guy, and that’s more of a competition show, but my goddaughter wants me to be on that show so badly,” Webster told the outlet. "Once a month [she asks], ‘Will you go? Will you go on?’ Like, I can’t just snap my fingers, sweetheart, and then be onDancing with the Stars. But if somebody asked me to do it? For her, I would.”

So far, the only two celebrity names that have been revealed as confirmed for Season 34 are Robert Irwin and Alix Earle. Of course, the rumor mill is full of possibilities as to other TV personalities, such as cast members from The Bachelor franchise to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And since there’s always an athlete, Jason Kelce’s name has also been bandied about.

Dancing with the Stars is no piece of cake as we’ve come to learn by watching each season, but Webster is up for it.

Despite his martial arts background, Webster says that, “Ali definitely picked it up much faster than I did." Then added, “[We] had a great time doing the scene.”

“I talked with Ali about it the other day,” he said, “and she was like, ‘One of the hardest things was, you know, to look super relaxed and comfortable while you’re, like, laying backwards and being held up and like, you can’t put any stress in your neck.’ You see stuff on screen — you can’t compare that to real life. Like, we have to go through a lot to make that look real, right?”

In an interview with Parade, Webster shared his love of the Hannah Swensen Mystery movies, saying, “I love being in the Hannah Swensen franchise because of the camaraderie, the improv, the working with really talented actors. I love that there’s comedy in these movies. That’s one of the things that stands out to me the most is being able to obviously solve this murder, this whodunit, but to be lighthearted about it along the way and to have real stories of the characters intertwined.”

Dancing with the Stars will return for Season 34 on ABC this fall. Pie to Die For: A Hannah Swensen Mystery premiered on Hallmark Channel on June 22.
