Amazon Prime Member Benefit

There are many benefits to being an Amazon Prime member, including the chance to see new releases early. Just recently, Amazon Prime members had the opportunity to purchase tickets for an advanced screening of Superman three days earlier. Fans were notified by automated email messages from Amazon as well as DC’s social media posts a month or two in advance so it is always worth keeping an eye on your inbox for offers.

Additionally, Prime Premiere is a program that members can check out a week before a Prime original’s screening date. These experiences often happen around 7 p.m. and offer free popcorn and beverages.

Fathom Events

Many moviegoers associate Fathom Events with anniversary re-releases on the big screen for classic films. However, Fathom Events also offers limited-time theatrical releases for lesser-known movies that won’t be available to watch until they become available on VOD or streaming. The latest movie to be available in theaters is Skillhouse, which plays in select theaters via Fathom Events from July 11 through July 17.

Advancescreenings.com and Gofobo.com

Advance Screenings and Gofobo are sites you can use to see what movies and theaters are offering early screenings. You can create a GoFobo account to get emailed notifications about events for upcoming movies, too.

Monday mystery movie

Certain theaters for chains like Regal Cinemas and Cinemark have a mystery movie showing at 7 p.m. most Mondays. Oftentimes, the mystery movie will be a film set to release later that week, but other times it can be for a movie that comes out even later. Jurassic World Rebirth was a recent mystery movie that played on June 23rd ahead of its July 2 release.

Follow social media accounts for your favorite films

Another way you can potentially see movies or shows early is by following social media accounts for your favorite flicks or movie theaters.

DC, Superman, and Fandango posted about the exclusive early screening for Amazon Prime Members across many of their platforms more than a month in advance.

The key to all these options is to browse often and early, since everything is limited.
