Jeopardy ! Contestants Become First Married Couple to Win Game Show

Originally appeared on E! Online
Jeopardy!’s latest champion is celebrating a one-of-a-kind feat.
Jason Singer emerged victorious during the July 1 episode of the long-running game show, four years after his wife Susan McMillan’s triumph in 2021—which the show’s producers believe makes them the first-ever married couple to each win the game in their own right.
After Jason walked away with $22,401 in prize money, Susan—who collected a total of $35,600 during her own stint on the show—shared what advice she gave her husband to get him in the zone.

And Jason—whose final answer included a “#BringBackSusan” message in honor of his wife—confirmed that her support, both as a previous winner and as a partner, made a world of difference as he prepared to compete.

Of course, the Portland, Maine, resident isn’t the only memorable Jeopardy! contestant to hit the podium in recent months. Back in September, viewers fawned over Father Steve Jakubowski, whose strikingly handsome looks earned him the moniker of “hot priest” online.
While the Austin-based faith leader ultimately finished in third place during his appearance on the show, he was hopeful that his appearance would serve a higher purpose.
“I hope some good came out of it,” he told the National Catholic Register in October. “My job is to preach the Gospel. That has nothing to do with Jeopardy!. But it does reach a large audience. So I hope I made a positive impression of a priest.”
