Kesha is publicly showing her support for Cassie Ventura.

The pop star took to X on Wednesday, July 2 to offer some words of encouragement to the R&B singer after Sean "Diddy" Combs was acquitted Wednesday on racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He was found guilty of lesser charges.

Ventura, Combs' girlfriend of a decade, was considered the star witness of the trial and testified that she was victim of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and exploitation at the hands of Combs.

"Cassie, I believe you," Kesha wrote via X. "I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor."

Kesha was previously involved in a legal battle with her former music producer Dr. Luke. She filed a civil suit against him in 2014, claiming he drugged and sexually assaulted her while the two were working together. After nearly a decade in court, and the music producer filing a countersuit alleging defamation, the two reached a settlement in 2023.

Following the not guilty verdict, Ventura's attorney, Douglas Wigdor, released a statement praised his client for testifying against her former boyfriend.

"This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023," Wigdor said. "Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice."

"We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial," the statement continued. "She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors."
