One guest seemingly believed “it was a gag” that Sanchez handed out goodie bags with black open-toe Amazon slides in them. The source thought it was “like an inside joke between billionaires.” Another guest compared the experience to receiving “merch from a corporate retreat,” calling it “a clearance-bin moment.”

Meanwhile, fashion insiders critiqued Sanchez’s choice of items in the gift bag to wrap up her and Bezos’ $20 million wedding. Reportedly, one Vogue staffer argued Sanchez shouldn’t have drawn their lavish festivities to a close “with cheap sandals.” They claimed it gave “QVC in couture.” Another guest supposedly thought that the present “felt like a product placement” as if “she’s launching Lauren by Amazon next week.”

However, it appears not all of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos‘ wedding guests were upset with her gift bags. One guest reportedly joked how she “turned a wedding into a soft launch.” On the contrary, the report mentioned that Bezos handed out velvet ViBi Venezia slippers to the male guests, playing the hero of effect and adding an element of luxury.
