Liz Meriwether’s Hulu Series Inspired by ‘Black Widow’ Movie Casts Quincy Tyler Bernstine (EXCLUSIVE)


Quincy Tyler Bernstine has been cast in a series regular role in Liz Meriwether’s upcoming Hulu series, Variety has learned exclusively.
Bernstine joins previously announced cast members Emmy Rossum, Lola Petticrew, and Scott McNairy in the untitled show, which is loosely inspired by the 1987 movie “Black Widow.” The show was originally announced in March.

Bernstine received a Tony Award nomination in 2024 for her role in “Doubt.” Her onscreen credits include shows like “And Just Like That,” “Julia,” “Power,” and “Power Book II: Ghost.” She will next be seen in the Peacock limited series “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy.” She has also been in films like “The Tender Bar,” “Manchester By The Sea,” and “Easy Living.”
She is repped by Cornerstone Talent Agency, The Burstein Company, and Schreck Rose.
Meriwether serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the series. Matt Olmstead will write and executive produce as well. Rossum will executive producer under her Composition 8 banner along with Sara Moskowitz. Ron Bass, who wrote the screenplay for “Black Widow,” is also an executive producer. Brian Kirk will direct the first two episodes and executive produce. 20th Television and Searchlight TV will produce.
