Miley Cyrus Embraces Her Cougar Status: Age Is Just a Number in Love and Relationships
In a recent episode of her sister Brandi Cyrus and mother Tish Cyrus's Sorry We're Cyrus podcast, Miley Cyrus shared her thoughts on being the older partner in her relationship with Maxx Morando. The Flowers singer, who is five years older than her boyfriend, enjoys the age gap and looks forward to his 27th birthday when she turns 33.
During the podcast, Brandi joked that both sisters were "cougars," and Miley added that she hopes Morando takes her advice as he ventures into his late twenties and early thirties. "I’m just hoping that, as long as he follows in my footsteps, everything is going to be great," Miley said. "That’s right when I started turning my life around."
Miley, who was first linked to the musician in 2021, previously shared what it's like to be in an age-gap relationship with Harper's Bazaar in November 2024. She noted that while they look at life differently, they ultimately have more in common. "We just don’t take life too seriously," she said.
In addition to the age gap, Cyrus also cites astrology as a factor for their compatibility. "He’s a Scorpio and so is his grandfather, that’s what makes Maxx just so cool because he can sting," Miley shared. "Scorpios are very cool, think that they’re little angels, until it turns around and they got a sting."
Miley Cyrus' embrace of her 'cougar' status is a testament to the fact that age is just a number when it comes to love and relationships. Whether you're a fan of Miley or not, it's hard not to admire her confidence and openness about her personal life. Her relationship with Maxx Morando is a reminder that love knows no boundaries and that age is not a factor when it comes to finding happiness.
