On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Godfather of Grunge, Neil Young, took the stage in Rattvik, Sweden, to kick off his Love Earth Tour. Accompanied by his new band The Chrome Hearts, the legendary singer-songwriter brought his fans on a nostalgic journey through his extensive catalog of hits.

The show was a celebration of Young's musical legacy, with fans treated to performances of classic songs like "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man." But the real surprise came when the singer-songwriter dusted off some old tunes from his past.

One of the highlights of the night was the performance of "Sun Green," a hit from Neil Young's band Crazy Horse, which had not been played since 2004. The audience was also treated to a rare performance of "Looking Forward," a song from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young that had not been played since 2000, a whopping 25 years ago.

The Canadian-American musician has had multiple brief stints teaming up with David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash to release music under the name Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Their final album included the hit "Looking Forward," which Young wrote. The song is about looking forward to good things happening and living life freely on the highway of love.

In addition to the European leg of the tour, Young plans to continue his rocking ways in North America starting August 8, 2025. He also recently dug up another old hit for a benefit show at Lakefield College in Ontario, Canada. The lyricist played "My Boy," a song from his 1985 album Old Ways that hadn't been performed since 1983.

This live performance is a testament to Neil Young's enduring talent and his ability to connect with his fans through his music. It's a reminder that even after all these years, he still has the power to inspire and move people with his powerful voice and timeless tunes.
