Netflix Pulls the Plug on Fan-Favorite Show After 10 Seasons

Netflix is ready to give the Fab Five one last makeover mission.
It's the 10th season for Queer Eye, but it will also be its last one for the hit streaming show. Netflix announced the news via Instagram on July 9 that the beloved series will be ending after they wrap filming.
The post showed the five cast members in Washington, D.C., in front of the Lincoln Memorial looking out to the Washington Monument. The caption read, "10 seasons. Fab Five. One last go ‘round. The final season of QUEER EYE is officially in production!"

Berk left after Season 8 and was replaced by interior designer Jeremiah Brent.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on Queer Eye. It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one,” Berk announced on Instagram on Nov. 13, 2023. “Although my journey with Queer Eyeis over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.”
A March 2024 Rolling Stone exposé revealed that the Fab Five had a rough time together behind the scenes.
A production crew member shared that Queer Eye was essentially "a manufactured boy band with big personalities that certain ones were favored, and certain ones were not, and then eventually [things] turned really toxic.” Berk pivoted to acting and producing in the upcoming series, Strikers, a six-episode cricket-themed comedy that's currently in production.

"There were definitely emotions. But each one of us had our reasons why we did what we did," he explained. "I can't be mad – for a second I was. All the plans that I had made when I thought we weren't coming back, I just wasn't willing to change those... We had mentally just prepared ourselves to move on – that's why I left."
Queer Eye is a reboot of the original Bravo TV series, Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, which aired from 2003 to 2007, starring Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez.
