HGTV fans were excited to welcome Nicole Curtis back to television with her new season of Rehab Addict this summer. But, after just two episodes, the show was unexpectedly off the air. The network has been keeping viewers on their toes with recent schedule changes and cancellations, but Nicole took to Instagram to explain the situation to her fans.

The new season of Rehab Addict share's Nicole's progress as she updates two properties: one in her hometown of Detroit and a second in Wyoming. The series was scheduled to be four episodes, but the home renovation expert decided to hit the pause button after the first two aired.

She shared a lengthy message with fans, saying, "First, THANK YOU for making Rehab Addict a number one rated show, again. You came out and shocked the heck out of all of us with the numbers ❤️❤️ if you missed the first two, watch them now streaming or don’t worry, I’m bringing those back along with the other new ones."Her updated continued, "I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice. It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought -why are we giving up Summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall? Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea."

She paired the message with a video of her driving a boat and said, "Third, without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it 😀"Nicole was very clear about the reason behind the change, just in case fans were confused. She said, "They are airing Lottery Dream Home in my place. Fun fact, David Bromstad was my pregnancy beach buddy as we were filming and living next to each other in Gulf Shores Alabama for Beach Flip (they just added those episodes to HboMax and Discovery+) So, don’t be spreading rumors that he replaced me-I chose it ❤️"

For anyone still confused, Nicole shared a video of herself wakeboarding on her Instagram Story and wrote, "A reminder: I'm not canceled, I'm wakeboarding."

When Country Living spoke to Nicole before the premiere, she explained that she produces and edits the show herself, saying, "It's actually my production company...So when I say we've been shooting this season for 3 years, it's really been 3 years. And then we have to edit that down to 42 minutes. And it's kind of a mess. To be honest, it's a messy process."

We'll stay tuned for the last two episodes! Although in the comments, Nicole notes, "I'm a little tricky like that so I might throw in a few extra."
