Only 1 of 10 Highest Grossing Actors Hasn't Been in Superhero Movie
With opening weekend for "Jurassic World: Rebirth" officially in the books, Scarlett Johansson has become the highest-grossing movie star of all time. She dethroned two of her "Avengers" co-stars in Robert Downey Jr. Samuel L. Jackson.
Johansson's films have grossed over $14.9 billion at the box office. Not only has she appeared in a plethora of Marvel Studio films as Black Widow, she had roles in popular children's movies such as "Sing" and the live-action remake of "The Jungle Book."
If you look at the top 10 highest-grossing actors in Hollywood, almost all of them have appeared in at least one film from Marvel Studios.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that Saldana starred in "Avatar," while Pratt appeared in an entire trilogy for "Jurassic World."
Vin Diesel, Chris Hemsworth, Bradley Cooper and Chris Evans also earned spots in the top 10 due to their wide range of films.
The only actor in the top 10 who hasn't appeared in a Marvel film is none other than Tom Cruise.
Cruise has starred in a handful of classics, like "Jerry Maguire" and "Risky Business." But his highest-grossing film is "Top Gun: Maverick," which made $1.496 billion worldwide during its run at the box office.

Several installments from the series, including "The Final Reckoning," made over $500 million at the box office.
Since Cruise doesn't plan on retiring from acting, he should remain one of the highest-grossing actors in the world for a long time.
