MINDEN, WV (WVNS) — Fourth of July can be a busy time in the Mountain State, especially for our outdoor adventure companies.

So, when the crowds descend, how do our companies cope, and is the experience for the visitors top notch?

Fourth of July celebrations are all about fun, and what is more fun than a rafting trip down a beautiful river or climbing all over an inflatable waterpark for the holiday?

ACE Adventure Resort in Minden is expecting to have around 4,000 people visit for the Fourth of July weekend.

That is according to Director of Sales and Marketing, Haynes Mansfield.

He said everyone at the resort is fully prepared for the crowds.

“We’ve got different folks from different teams, you know, maintenance will come over, and landscaping, and help with traffic and getting folks parked correctly. Everybody’s gonna be on board and ready to help guests at every step along the way. And even the things you don’t see, behind the scenes, like purchasing extra food and just getting ready for the demand that comes with a crowd like that,” said Mansfield.

But with all those people out and about at ACE, potential visitors might wonder if they will be getting the best experience possible for their celebrations.

Shirley Blondy and her family came all the way from Michigan to test out ACE’s hospitality.

Blondy said it is definitely worth the trip!

“We didn’t know what to expect to be honest. But I’m so impressed. This is the second day we’re coming back, so that we did rafting and we came back for the waterpark. It was so well-organized, everything was so professional. Even the lunch, I mean, you guys thought about the small details,” said Blondy.

Blondy said her family’s next trip down to ACE will last an entire week and she knows it will be just as amazing as this one.
