“Oh, btw, the two that shot me have been caught and face sentencing next month. The gun was tied to two previous murders so my case is almost an afterthought. They’re going bye bye for a long time. On that happy thought, see ya on TV!” Lee, 68, wrote in the post, which included an image of his dog Coco.

On Oct. 15, 2024, Lee was injured during a confrontation near his Las Vegas home when he discovered the two men attempting to steal a motorcycle. According to Lee, the gunman fired 15 shots, some aimed at Coco. The rocker was struck by three bullets, one of which narrowly missed his spine, which could have potentially left him paralyzed.

While Lee was clearly relieved by the news, he also mentioned his upcoming performance at Black Sabbath’s final show in Birmingham, England. "Just confirming I’m playing,” he wrote, adding that he’d be taking the stage early in the performance. “In fact I believe I’ll be first at bat, which means Coco has to be up at 7:00am to watch Pops! I’m thrilled to be sharing the stage with top tier musicians, I won’t name cause you never know until the curtain rises, but will confirm once we have our rehearsal next week.”

Lee’s message ended on a lighter note, saying, “On that happy thought, see ya on TV!”While Lee and Osbourne, 76, had not kept in close contact since their time together in the ‘80s, Osbourne expressed his shock upon hearing the news of the musician’s shooting. In a statement to TMZ, Osbourne said, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him.”
