Two Palmetto State locations have seen a surge in search volume for top Fourth of July destinations, according to a HomeToGo report.
Both places also broke into the Top 20, so if you haven't booked your Airbnb for the holiday weekend, you might not want to wait too long to do it.
"We've taken a dive into the Independence Day data to shine a light on the top trending U.S. destinations that have seen the most significant surges in interest this year ― spots where the laid-back settings, pretty landscapes, and artisanal atmospheres offer the perfect backdrop for a memorable holiday," said HometoGo.

No. 19: Lake Hartwell (73% search volume increase)
During S.C.'s warmer months, Lake Hartwell comes alive with recreational activities such as boating and fishing. Visitors also enjoy gathering by the lake to watch the sun rise and set over the tranquil waters. On the Fourth of July, the skies above will be bursting with color as Clemson University and the City of Clemson present their "Light the Lake" fireworks show on Thursday, July 3. The show will begin between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m., so if you're wondering what makes celebrating Independence Day special at this top destination, you won't want to miss this chance to find out.

No. 20: Seabrook Island (70% search volume increase)
Seabrook Island is a private, gated community and resort renowned for its abundant wildlife, family-friendly amenities, and stunning beachfront beauty. The oceanfront setting is located approximately 30 minutes' driving distance from the Charleston peninsula and hosts a variety of exciting Independence Day events for residents to partake in. This year, the island will host its Fourth of July 5K Run/Walk on Thursday, July 3, at 8 a.m. ($30 to participate). Seabrook Island's longstanding July 4th Parade will also take place on the same day at the Island Lake House at 9 a.m., followed by an After-Parade Party from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (if it rains, the parade will be rescheduled for Sunday, July 6).
