Scarlett Johansson Is the #1 Highest Grossing Actor EVER After JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH

The list of the top ten highest grossing actors of all-time is overflowing with MCU stars. According to the tracking site The Numbers, only Tom Cruise and Dwayne Johnson have achieved that feat without an MCU credit to their name. The other eight have also served as (or alongside of) Earth’s mightiest heroes. But if you want to reach the top of the box office mountain, you need more than just one blockbuster franchise on your resume. And now that Scarlett Johansson has added Jurassic World to her resume, she has vaulted to the top spot as the highest-grossing actor ever. At least for now.

Jurassic World Rebirth‘s big opening weekend was a historic one for star Scarlett Johansson. As Forbes noted, the film has catapulted above her MCU colleagues Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., Zoe Saldana, and Chris Pratt in the career box office returns list. Those four round out (in that order) the highest-grossing actors ever rankings after Johansson.

While all four have each starred in films that have garnered in total more than $14 billion, Johannson’s $14,851,079,186 (and counting since Rebirth just came out) number stands above the rest, making her the highest-grossing actor ever. And she’s done that in just 36 films.

While Pratt also has three Jurassic World films on his resume, and Saldana has both Star Trek and Avatar on hers, it makes sense they’re behind Johansson. Those two missed out on the first two Avengers movies. Johansson also starred in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: Civil War.

Of course, Johannson won’t hold onto the top spot for long. There’s no guarantee she’ll ever return to the MCU, but Jackson, Downey Jr., and Pratt definitely will. When they do, they’ll add another couple billion (or five) to their career box office gross.

That is, unless Scarlett Johansson decides she wants to head to the galaxy far, far away next. Between Jurassic World and Star Wars, she’d stay at the top of this list for a long time. But we’re just speculating. Congratulations to Johannson for becoming the highest-grossing actor ever, even if it doesn’t last long, it’s worth celebrating.
