Tracy Ifeachor is saying goodbye to the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical emergency room.
The 40-year-old actress will not return to The Pitt for its sophomore season. TVLine first reported her departure on Thursday, July 10.

Ifeachor starred on the hit medical procedural for its debut season as one of two senior residents in the ER alongside Noah Wyle’s character, attending Dr. Michael "Dr. Robby" Robinavitch.

Like season 1, it follows the same format, with each episode taking place over the course of one hour in the same shift. However, season 2 will be set in July.
The Pitt season 1 also starred Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Shawn Hatosy.
When the first season begins, it’s revealed that Ifeachor’s character is pregnant after attempting to have a child through IVF and without a partner. Heather intended to keep the pregnancy a secret, but after miscarrying during the shift, she told Robby, her former boyfriend.
The former couple briefly chat about it in the back of an empty ambulance. Throughout their conversation, she also revealed that she got pregnant with his child and had an abortion. After her revelation, Robby told her to go home and recover.

“So, they end up missing each other. But they have a connection that I'm really happy to see made it onto the screen," she said. "It would be lovely to see [Dr. Collins and Dr. Robby] come to some kind of resolution. I think they finally do in the ambulance scene because they end up having an actual conversation."
