Here's everything you need to know about the new Thomas Crown Affair.

Who's starring

Following in the footsteps of McQueen and the lead of 1999's John McTiernan-helmed remake, Pierce Brosnan, Jordan is taking on the role of Thomas Crown, a playboy who takes up the hobby of art thievery for the thrill of it.

The second cast member to join was Taylor Russell (Bones and All), who won the highly coveted role as a detective and romantic interest of Jordan's Crown.

The most recent news about the project was a trio of casting items, rounding out the cast with some big names. Reuniting with Jordan, her Black Panther costar, Danai Gurira has signed on — according to The Hollywood Reporter — to play Crown's confidante.

Also joining are Oscar winner Kenneth Branaugh and Academy Award nominee Lily Gladstone. The former is reportedly taking on the villain role, while the latter's part is still under wraps.

Who's directing

Not satisfied with being a successful and charismatic movie star, Jordan is also continuing to grow his résumé as a director. The new Thomas Crown Affair will be his second directorial effort after helming Creed III. The third film in the Rocky spin-off series was a massive hit, earning $276 million globally, making the most successful Creed to date. Jordan is also attached to direct a fourth film for the franchise, but the timeline for that sequel is still unclear.

Who's writing

Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) wrote the most recent draft, coming on the project after writers Wes Tooke (Midway) and Justin Britt-Gibson (the upcoming Lanterns series).

Where's it filming

The Thomas Crown Affair is shooting in London, a new locale for the title. The previous iterations filmed in Boston and New York.

When's it coming out

The film will open in theaters on March 5, 2027.
