The Awkward Blend of Carrie and Aidans Family: Fitting In and Facing Challenges in Just Like That Season 3
In the fifth episode of "Just Like That" season 3, titled "The Unraveling Ties," the drama continues to escalate as Carrie's relationship with Aidan reaches a boiling point. The episode delves into the complexities of Carrie's attempts to fit into Aidan's family and the ongoing issues surrounding his son Wyatt's Adderall use.
Carrie wakes up in the Virginia guesthouse, feeling awkward and out of place. Despite trying to blend in by dressing in country-inspired outfits from Daisy's Dress Shop, she still feels like an outsider in Aidan's family. The tension is further heightened by the fact that Wyatt openly dislikes her, while Homer is thrilled to have her back.
Meanwhile, Bob, Aidan's longtime boyfriend of Kathy, attempts to soothe Carrie's fears by telling her it took him four years to break into the Shaw family. However, when Wyatt unceremoniously ends the party by cracking a rake through the dining room window, Carrie realizes the magnitude of what Aidan is dealing with and decides to let go of the anxiety that has loomed over both of them.

LTW's stress-induced sleep talking inspires Herbert to sleep in their guest bedroom, while Harry instructs Rock to fix their grandfather's iPad, which they discover is broken because Pop Pop tried to download an excess of porn. Seema attempts but fails to poach her firm's assistant to join the nascent Patel Group.
The meatiest subplot of this episode belongs to Miranda, who is still on cat-sitting duties for Carrie. Her budding romance with Joy seems to be taking off until an unfortunately placed pause stomps out the flicker of sexual tension before it ever got a real chance to burn. Miranda accidentally says "wild cunt...ryside" instead of "wild countryside" on national television, which immediately makes the rounds on social media and becomes a viral TikTok remix.
Despite this setback, Miranda invites Joy and her British friends over to Carrie's house for a casual hang out. However, Joy isn't her usual chipper self and informs Miranda that she "shuts down" when she feels attracted to people. This leads to a hot makeout session on the front porch that gets picked up by Carrie's Ring camera.
