These two Memphis hotels made list of Best Pet-Friendly Hotels in the US: Here's why

Iconic Memphis hotel The Peabody has been a haven of hospitality for travelers to the Mid-South for 100 years. More recently it has become regarded as one of the most friendly hotels for pets, according to USA TODAY.

In 2023 and 2024, the Downtown hotel earned the top spot in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Pet-Friendly Hotel. In 2025, The Peabody landed in the No. 2 spot in the ranking, which was announced July 2. The hotel, which is known for its resident ducks, also welcomes dogs to stay.

Placing sixth in the awards was another Downtown Memphis hotel, The Central Station. The hotel notes that its pet amenities include a welcome treat bag, use of water/food bowls and a bed if needed.

Earning the top spot in 2025 was The Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, California. The balance of the 2025’s Best Pet-Friendly-Hotel list included the Fairmont in Boston’s Copley Plaza at No. 3, the Four Seasons in Austin at No. 4, and the Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club in Honolulu at No. 5.
