“I definitely rely on her opinion about things. She’s an incredible sounding board and brings calm to some of my madness sometimes," Usher said during a February 2025 episode of the “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer” podcast.

The Grammy-winning artist later explained, "If this is a business that you’re in, I’m going to help establish and work on it. But it’s your business, you know, and then we have the things that we do together, but it’s not a mandate. It’s a choice in a relationship."

Usher gushed that he and Jennifer “understand how to hear each other,” which he credits as a partial success in their marriage.

“But more than hearing each other, we know how to listen,” he added. “It’s one thing to have space to talk, but to have ears to hear, that is the difference in having successful relationships in life, period."
