Watch: Ford Edge Flips In Scary Highway Crash

Scary dashcam footage out of Atlanta shows the moment a Ford Edge crossover flips in a scary highway crash. Just like in so many other road collisions, the accident unfolds in a literal second, giving drivers around the Ford almost no time to react.

Watch a JDM Supra MKIV get pitted out by police.

The footage was obviously taken by a full-size truck that’s in the lane next to the Edge. The camera vehicle, along with a midsize truck in the lane to the left, and the crossover are all cruising along almost side-by-side.

Honestly, that alone is a dangerous practice.

But what happens next amps up the danger tenfold. The Ford driver decides to get into the lane to the right of it, or the person is distracted and drifts into that lane partway. But traffic has slowed in that lane, thanks to a line of heavy trucks. However, the Edge driver doesn’t seem to notice.

Not entirely in that lane, the crossover slams into the back of a Ford F-Series with its passenger side, causing it to roll into the lane where the camera truck is driving. Had the guy who was recording not been driving right next to the Edge, he might have escaped the collision completely – let that be a lesson.

As the Ford Edge rolls, it leaves the road entirely at first, looking like some sort of Hollywood stunt. But this scene is all too real. The crossover rolls multiple times and is hit by the camera truck before it comes to a rest on the highway.

We’re told nobody was seriously hurt, but diapers fly out of the Edge and onto the camera truck’s hood at the end of the video. We hate to see that.

Like we said, accidents like this often unfold in a second, maybe two. This is why when you’re driving, you have to be keenly aware of what’s going on around you at all times.

Driving distracted, even for a brief moment, could literally be the difference between avoiding being part of a freak crash like this or avoiding it altogether. Sadly, drivers seem more distracted than ever for a number of reasons we won’t get into right now.

Stay frosty, everyone!
