The Knicks' journey to the Eastern Conference Finals has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with highs and lows, but one thing that has remained constant is the team's determination and resilience. After a dominant 119-81 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the semifinals, the Knicks are now set to face off against the Indiana Pacers in the conference finals.

Head coach Tom Thibodeau made his expectations clear from the start of the season. The Knicks had just won 50 games and finished second in the East last year, but that was in the past. This year's team would need to integrate new pieces, develop new habits, and forge new bonds. Thibodeau emphasized the importance of preparing for the long grind and starting with the end in mind.

On Friday night, the Knicks delivered a composed performance that was a recipe for playoff success. All-NBA point guard Jalen Brunson continued to burnish his postseason legacy in New York with another Penn Station-shaking win. All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns contributed a bruising 21-and-12 double-double, proving that he doesn't need to drill a ton of 3-pointers to make a major impact. Relentless Josh Hart added a triple-double, while 3-and-D wings OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges combined for 20-plus points, eight 3-pointers, and seven blocks and steals. Strong play off the bench from guard Miles McBride and center Mitchell Robinson also contributed to the Knicks' dominant performance.

The Knicks' two utterly dominant quarters—the second and third—turned Game 6 into a laugher and Madison Square Garden into a revival tent. The team offered a glimpse at what the best version of this revamped Knicks team might look like when all of its big bets pay off.

"I think the way you have to look at it is, whatever your ceiling is, that's what you're striving for, and you're trying to go past whatever the expectations are for you," Thibodeau said after the win. "And if everyone commits to that, the challenge is to bring the best out of everybody."

While Friday marked the end of the line for Boston, it is not yet the end for Thibodeau's team. The Knicks still have a lot to prove and a lot to accomplish. They will face a red-hot Indiana Pacers team in Game 1 on Wednesday, and they know they will have to be ready.

"More to go, you know?" Bridges said. "We're not done. And that's what it is. We came out there tonight, played hard, handled biz. But season's not over. We got so much more to go."

The Knicks' path hasn't always been pretty. They've struggled offensively for months, barely survived a six-game slugfest against Detroit, and routinely put themselves behind the 8-ball against Boston. But they got those eight wins, and things don't always have to be pretty to be beautiful.

"When you're in these situations, especially in the playoffs, you gotta—you know, we talk about that, that New York grit, that relentless belief that we will never lose," Towns said. "When you want to go deeper into the playoffs, you have
