From Guinness World Records to haunting images, take in these 6 attractions on an AL road trip

Summer road trips are more than just snacks and playlists. They're about stopping for the weird and wonderful roadside attractions you never knew existed.
From the world's largest office chair to a 25-foot-high brick, Alabama's highways are dotted with quirky sights that beg for a pit stop.
Here's a roundup of some of the strangest attractions on Roadside America's list, guaranteed to make your next trip unforgettable.
Large Office Chair
Built in 1981 from 10 tons of steel, the world's largest office chair sits right outside Miller's Office Supply in Anniston. Owner Leonard "Sonny" Miller dreamed up the giant chair for the vacant lot next to his store. In 1982, Guinness World Records crowned it the official World's Largest Chair. While bigger chairs have emerged since, this one still stands tall and makes for a perfect summer photo opportunity.
Lady in the Marina
Lady in the Marina, a giant fiberglass woman created by artist Mark Cline, is half-submerged in Barber Marina in Elberta, with just her head and knees poking out of the water. If she stood up, she'd tower 108 feet tall, nearly as tall as the Statue of Liberty. It's a quirky stop you won't want to miss on your road trip.
The Face in the Window
One of Alabama's most chilling legends lives in the window of the Pickens County Courthouse. Known as "The Face in the Window," the ghostly image is said to belong to Henry Wells, a formerly enslaved person accused of burning down the original courthouse. As an angry mob gathered outside, Wells declared he'd haunt them forever if they killed an innocent man. Just then, lightning struck, and his face reportedly appeared on the glass, where it remains etched as a haunting reminder of a dark chapter in history.
Car in the Wall
If you're cruising through Fort Payne, don't worry. That car sticking out of a building is supposed to be there. It's a red, half-cut vehicle jutting out of the wall at DeKalb Parts, and yes, the license plate says "JESUS." We've all heard, "Jesus, take the wheel," but in this case, it looks like He did.
Go big in Gulf Shores
Gulf Shores doesn't do small. This beach town goes all in with oversized attractions, including a giant "hang loose" hang, a towering shrimp, a massive shark to walk through and a giant pirate ship. It's the perfect place to snap a few larger-than-life vacation photos.
25 foot brick in Montgomery
Outside Acme Brick Tile and Stone in Montgomery stands a 25-foot-tall brick made entirely of bricks. It once held the title of the world's largest until a Texas company built one just a bit bigger. Still, this giant brick is a fun, photo-worthy stop for road trippers and locals.
