Paris Games Week is on, and Sony has kicked it off with a press conference that included a hearty dose of new announcements and details for PlayStation VR, including heavy-hitter franchises Tekken and Gran Turismo.
The PlayStation 4 accessory looks like it's going to play a large role in Sony's 2016 offerings when it launches sometime in the first half of next year.
Sony began its VR showing with a new trailer for RIGS, a competitive title that, based on what I've seen of it, I'm going to describe as "Robot Quidditch." There are mech suits, goals, and team-based shooting, all from a first-person perspective. The trailer showed off an arena based in Dubai, full of smooth edges and multi-level paths, all surrounded by a lovely view of the futuristic version of the city. Not that the player will have much time to admire the view. RIGS looks chaotic.
