Low-Mileage 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina Draws Attention on Bring a Trailer

A rare 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina with just 9,800 miles has surfaced for sale on Bring a Trailer, offering collectors a low-mileage example of one of Ferrari’s most exclusive modern classics.

Number 187 of just 448 Barchetta models produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Pininfarina, this open-top Ferrari is finished in iconic Rosso Corsa over Beige Connolly leather. It remains unmodified and includes both original documentation and a recent major service.

Built as a celebration of Ferrari’s design heritage, the 550 Barchetta debuted at the 2000 Paris Motor Show with unique styling revisions over the standard 550 Maranello. The Barchetta received a lowered, more steeply raked windshield, shortened A-pillars, integrated roll hoops, and an extended rear deck—all of which remain intact on this well-preserved example. A factory-supplied black rain fly is also included.

Power comes from a 5.5-liter F133C V12 engine, factory-rated at 485 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The gated shifter and analog Jaeger gauges, paired with a carbon-fiber center console and numbered badge, complete the classic Ferrari grand tourer experience.

Recent servicing in 2025 included timing belt and cam seal replacement, valve adjustment, and new tensioner bearings—prepping the car for both enjoyment and concours display. The car comes with a clean Carfax report and an Arizona title.

Adding to its appeal, this Barchetta includes a 2024 Ferrari Club of America "Best Ferrari of Show" trophy and retains its original tool kit, window sticker, and Becker stereo system.
