Capcom has just released new information about Sagat, the towering Muay Thai master who will be Street Fighter 6’s next DLC combatant. Since its initial launch back in June 2023, Street Fighter 6 has been expanding its roster with a mix of returning World Warriors and special guest characters, with the most recent DLC addition being the Capoeira battler Elena earlier this month.
Street Fighter 6 will soon begin its third wave of DLC, and the first new challenger is one that longtime fans of the series will immediately recognize. Sagat was introduced as the final boss of the original Street Fighter in 1987 and has returned as a playable character in every subsequent Street Fighter entry. Defined by his imposing size and powerful Muay Thai fighting style, Sagat has alternated between villain and anti-hero in his never-ending quest to prove himself as the strongest martial artist in the world. While he was initially absent from the base Street Fighter 6 roster, Sagat will finally make his return to the series soon.
