The Sims 4's Enchanted by Nature expansion has received a new gameplay trailer. With a runtime of nearly seven minutes, the promo video explores numerous features of the upcoming The Sims 4 add-on, revealing some new information in the process.
Electronic Arts officially announced its nature-themed Sims 4 expansion pack on June 12. Inspired by Celtic folklore and Ireland, the add-on will introduce the Fairy Sim type—something a subset of fans has requested for years. Enchanted by Nature is set to launch on PC and consoles on July 10.

The Sims 4 Unveils Packed Roadmap for Summer 2025
The Sims 4 unveils its official 2025 summer roadmap, with a big new expansion pack and multiple free updates stealing the show.
PostsIn the run-up to its debut, EA shared a new Enchanted by Nature trailer on June 26. The video serves as a gameplay overview of the upcoming expansion, highlighting new features and expanding on previously confirmed ones. Notably, it provides the first detailed look at Fairy Abilities—seen around the three-minute mark—which appear to offer a relatively high number of mutually exclusive choices relative to most other The Sims 4 mastery trees.
Enchanted by Nature Is Seemingly Expanding on PlantSims
The late June trailer also hints at Enchanted by Nature expanding on PlantSims. First introduced in 2003’s The Sims: Makin’ Magic, PlantSims currently exist in The Sims 4 as a temporary occult form triggered by eating the Forbidden Fruit. With several PlantSims featured in the new trailer, EA may be signaling a revamp of this form in Enchanted by Nature, potentially turning it into a permanent occult type. The trailer also depicts Mother Nature without wings, suggesting she may be a PlantSim.
CloseThe video also includes glimpses of some new The Sims 4 furniture and building materials. Notably, a new type of glass wall or floor-to-ceiling window appears around the 1:05 and 6:15 marks. As for Fairies, a brief scene at 2:55 shows one without wings, which reappear in the next frame. While this could simply be a mistake or glitch, it may also indicate that Fairies will be able to hide their wings at will. Although EA and Maxis previously stated that Enchanted by Nature is primarily inspired by Ireland, the actress narrating the trailer speaks with a Scottish accent. This suggests the upcoming add-on may draw more broadly from Gaelo-Celtic culture, rather than exclusively from Irish folklore and architecture.
New Sims 4 Base Game Update Preceding Enchanted by Nature
Enchanted by Nature can currently be pre-ordered for $39.99. Ahead of its July 10 release, The Sims 4 will receive another free base game update on July 1. The patch was confirmed as part of the game's summer 2025 roadmap, though EA has not yet detailed its contents.
