According to SteamDB, Darktide's player count reached 43,000 in a single day following the release of the update, a significant increase from the previous average of 10,000 players. While the numbers have been steadily dropping since then, they are still much higher than what the game had been averaging over the past year.

The "Battle for Tertium" update also brought an overhaul of the core player experience, tackling several different areas of the game and introducing a new, more organized linear campaign, missions, and more.
