In the Escape from Tarkov community, “hardcore” means playing the entire game without some important features, such as access to the Flea Market, which makes the experience incredibly harder. Soon after the tease, Battlestate Games posted an updated Escape From Tarkov roadmap, indicating that the wipe will take place in July, together with the next update.

Battlestate Games’ new plans are pretty similar to the ones from the previous Escape from Tarkov roadmap, revealed back in April. The main changes are that the Hardcore Wipe has been added to the 0.16.8.0 update, which will also bring new Prestige levels and new PMC customization options. Following that, patch 0.16.9.0 is scheduled to be out in August and will come with a new in-game event. It’s also known that Escape from Tarkov intends to release its 1.0.0 version in 2025, meaning that this could be the final wipe before Version 1.0.0 resets progress for the last time.
