Major InZOI Update Hit With Delay

CallumGames2025-06-295580

An upcoming InZOI update has been hit with a small delay, a few months out from its release. The InZOI update is set to add a bunch of new features to the game's modding toolkit, but fans will now be left waiting a little longer for it to arrive.

InZOI is the newest competitor in the life simulator genre, taking on EA's The Sims series for the crown. Despite a very successful launch back in March 2025, InZOI has seen dwindling player counts in the months since, with a lack of content the driving force behind its falling numbers. That's part of the risky nature of releasing into Early Access, but Krafton has continued to release new updates for the game on a regular basis in an attempt to bring players back. Regardless, the developer seems to be committed to the game for the long haul, so only time will tell whether players will come back to InZOI.

In a post on Steam, Krafton revealed that InZOI's planned September modding update has been delayed from September to October, and "will be released alongside the InZOI gameplay update planned for the same period." The update was first revealed in InZOI's modding roadmap released back in May, indicating that the update will add mod support for character features such as faces and hair, and building pieces like doors, fences, pillars, and windows. Arguably the biggest addition to the now-October modding update is the ability to create new interactions, including motion, conversations, voices, and interaction rewards.

Krafton's delay also included a bit more bad news for InZOI fans. The update was also planned to include a UI editor feature, although this has now been cut. Whether this returns in a future InZOI update remains to be seen. According to Krafton, "This decision was made to ensure feature completeness, better alignment with the game's overall direction, and more consistent quality," and "Additional details will be shared around the time of the October update."

Although it's disappointing for this update to slip a month, it's good that it's not a massive delay, and it shouldn't harm the game too much at all. Krafton is currently shaping the future of InZOI with every update, and it seems the game is set for an exciting ride. A recent Krafton survey revealed what InZOI players hate most about the game, and hopefully, the studio is taking this feedback on board to make it the best it can be.
