Stephen Colbert Adds Gaming Stars to His Guest Roster

LeahGames2025-07-035130

Next week, Stephen Colbert's new late-night show will host two videogame personalities.

On Thursday, October 1, YouTuber (and possible future television show host) PewDiePie will join Claire Danes and Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel as Colbert’s guests. The next evening, Sean Murray of Hello Games, developer of the much-hyped No Man’s Sky, will appear alongside Morgan Freeman.

Colbert has worked hard to play up his nerd cred during and after his stint on The Colbert Report—remember when he made a text adventure? He’s covered games in pretty intelligent fashion in the past, notably with one of the most incisive and knowledgeable segments on Gamergate from anyone in the mass media. It’ll be interesting to see how he integrates videogame coverage into his less-bombastic new late-night persona.

Also, Stephen, if you’re reading this, could you see about getting a release date for No Man’s Sky?
