Counter-Strike 2 Player Pays $45,000 for Common Skin, Here’s Why

EnochGames2025-06-305870

A Counter-Strike 2 skin has been sold for $45,000 due to having the lowest float value in the game's history. Like its predecessor, Counter-Strike 2 has an active skin market, and stories of cosmetics selling for impressive prices are not uncommon.

Back in January 2024, a player sold the Counter-Strike 2 AK-47 Case Hardened skin for over $1 million. The Case Hardened line is one of the most coveted in the game for its multicolored patterns, with the Blue Gem pattern being the chase due to its high rarity. Another Counter-Strike 2 skin known for its high prices is the AWP Dragon Lore, one of the most beloved skins in the Counter-Strike franchise. According to DMarket, a Dragon Lore in excellent condition can cost over $250,000. Recently, another Counter-Strike 2 skin was purchased for a high value, but the cosmetic is not the one players would expect.

On Twitter, user Yikspiks reports that the MAC-10 Bronzer skin sold for $45,000. Although it is far from being one of the rarest Counter-Strike 2 skins, what makes it so special is its float value of 0.00000000010431, the lowest in the history of Valve's shooter. A Counter-Strike 2 skin price can be affected by several factors, including the float value. The closer it is to 0.00, the better the quality of the colors and textures. On the other hand, the closer a skin's float is to 1.00, the more signs of wear it will show. It is worth noting that the level of wear on a Counter-Strike 2 skin has no impact on gameplay, only influencing its appearance.

When Did Counter-Strike 2 Add the MAC-10 Bronzer Skin?

Valve released the MAC-10 Bronzer skin on March 31, 2025, as part of the Spring Forward update. It is one of 28 skins that are part of the Radiant Collection, and gives the well-known Counter-Strike 2 SMG a simple bronze color, without any flashy visual features. Its rarity is Consumer, the lowest in the game, so under normal conditions, its value is very low, costing only a few cents.

While the Bronzer is not one of the most eye-catching skins in the Radiant Collection, it does have other, more eye-catching skins. The main one is Nouveau Rouge, a skin for the Counter-Strike 2 AK-47 that features an elegant design mixing red, white, and brown. The rarity of the Nouveau Rouge skin is Classified, as the fourth highest in the game, which, according to CsMarketCap, can make it cost $600.
