$500K Rolls-Royce Theft Leads to Multi-Million Dollar Luxury Car Bust in Texas

A brazen valet theft of a nearly $500,000 Rolls-Royce Spectre triggered a wide-reaching investigation that ended with the recovery of multiple stolen luxury vehicles and the arrest of three suspects, Plano police announced this week.

The incident began in early June when officers responded to a report of a stolen 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre from a local restaurant. Authorities say the vehicle was taken after an individual allegedly accessed keys from a valet station and drove off without detection.

The high-profile nature of the vehicle — one of Rolls-Royce’s newest electric luxury models — drew swift attention. Investigators quickly tracked the suspect to another vehicle, a 2025 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, which had already been flagged as potentially stolen. That connection accelerated the case and prompted collaboration with the FBI.

Less than a week later, Plano police, alongside federal agents, executed search warrants at two residences. There, they discovered a trove of stolen vehicles: two Rolls-Royces (including the Spectre and a Cullinan SUV), a Cadillac Escalade-V, a Maserati Levante, and an Audi RS7. Authorities estimate the total value of the seized cars at approximately $1.5 million.

Three suspects — Miguel Hernandez, Salvador Hernandez, and Oscar Valdez Garcia — were arrested and charged with theft of property exceeding $300,000. Garcia, who was found to have 15 active felony warrants, faces additional charges including aggravated assault, burglary of a habitation, and evading arrest.

“It was a combination of good investigative work, good collaboration, putting all the pieces together,” said Plano Police Department spokesperson Jerry Minton.

Security footage from one of the targeted residences captured the moment officers moved in, depicting a tactical-style operation during Salvador Hernandez’s arrest. Authorities are now working to return the recovered vehicles to their rightful owners as the investigation continues.
