Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was one of the studio’s most well-regarded games, and while there has been no confirmation of a sequel, it’s very likely that one will be developed eventually.
Originally released in December 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle received glowing reviews, and it became one of the most popular first-party Xbox games of the year. A few months ago, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released for PS5, selling units faster than its first launch, which cemented it as an incredibly successful title.

PostsNow, a new job listing at ZeniMax may indicate that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s sequel could already be in development. The job ad is looking for a Senior Concept Artist and, interestingly, it cites experience “working in the game and/or film industry” and “being familiar with the industry of entertainment (such as films)” as required qualifications. Considering that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was an experience highly influenced by movies, this could be the project that the new employee would be working on.

CloseWhile it’s a good idea to take this rumor with a grain of salt, the sequel to Indiana Jones makes sense, considering how popular the title was. “The Order of Giants” DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will release on September 4, so it seems too late to hire a Senior Concept Artist to work on it, considering most of the DLC’s concept art should already be finished.
At the moment, it’s not known what projects MachineGames is currently developing. Reports indicate that MachineGames canceled an unannounced project, which was being worked on between 2022 and 2024, but not much information about current projects has been officially unveiled, apart from the Indiana Jones DLC. In any case, it’s impossible to tell for sure if the project is the next Indiana Jones, as it could also be a new Wolfenstein game or even a fully new IP.
Despite being released a while ago, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is still gaining updates as the devs fix bugs and improve the game’s performance. In one recent update, issues with the DualSense's Adaptive Triggers were corrected on both PS5 and PC, and the game was finally verified on Steam Deck.
