BlueGames2025-07-176770

Ready or Not has released the Los Suenos Stories update, adding new missions and weapons, fixing bugs, and bringing the PC version in line with the newly released console edition. This is the same update many Ready or Not players have pushed back against, which means it may reignite an ongoing controversy.

The past few weeks have been rough for VOID Interactive, the developer of Ready or Not. Since announcing censorship plans ahead of the console edition's launch, Ready or Not has been review-bombed on Steam, and its current “Mostly Negative” rating reflects the dissatisfaction of a significant portion of the community.

Despite recent pushback from PC players, Ready or Not has moved forward with censoring the game in the Los Suenos Stories update. However, the patch includes much more than tone or gore adjustments. It improves enemy and companion AI, making them appear smarter and more responsive. It also adds two new missions, Stolen Valor and Hunger Strike, along with four new weapons and a fresh difficulty system.

While it remains to be seen how the PC community will react to the update, the patch notes look promising. It appears the developer has put significant effort into fixing bugs and glitches and improving overall performance. A quick glance at the changelog reveals many anticipated changes and improvements that could potentially help PC players cope with Ready or Not's censorship.

One of the highlights of the Los Suenos Stories update, aside from the new missions and weapons, is the addition of new animations. The game now features multiple new SWAT restraining animations, along with updated animations for kicking doors and deploying chemlights, all aimed at creating an even more immersive first-person shooter experience.

In the patch notes, VOID Interactive also reminds both PC and console players that Ready or Not's gore and realism have not been toned down. In other words, the censorship is limited, and the core experience remains intact. Now that the update is live, the fanbase appears divided on whether it has ruined the game or improved it. In the coming days, it will be interesting to see whether the censorship in Ready or Not's July update will overshadow the long list of improvements or if PC players will adapt to the game's post-console-release state.
