As part of Marvel Rivals' July 17 update, NetEase Games announced that it will be implementing some hero balance adjustments to improve the state of the game. The balance changes specifically target the Duelist Wolverine, as many Vanguard players claim that the hero has felt completely unbalanced since the launch of Season 3. In order to correct this, the developers are implementing some nerfs that will decrease Wolverine's maximum damage potential and reduce the power of his regeneration. His team-up with Phoenix is also being nerfed, decreasing the lifesteal benefits Wolverine receives.

While the skin is scheduled to make its debut in the shop on July 17 at 7 PM PDT, players looking to add it to their collection will need to act fast, as the costume will only be available until August 14 at 7 PM PDT. The outfit shows Loki trading his usual costume for a more casual look, sporting a green cloak with golden accents and a matching wide-brimmed hat. He even appears to share an MVP screen with Thor, who is also receiving a summer makeover.

CloseLoki isn't the only hero with a new skin coming to the shop, as NetEase Games is going to be releasing a fresh costume for the Duelist Psylocke in Marvel Rivals. Psylocke's upcoming skin, titled Breezy Butterfly, shows the hero sporting a purple and teal swimsuit. The Breezy Butterfly costume will launch with two optional recolors that players can purchase with Lattice or Unstable Molecules. As of writing, NetEase Games has not revealed how much either skin will cost when they arrive in the shop.
Fans of these summer costumes may be happy to learn that three more swimsuit-inspired skins will be coming to the game as part of the Summer Special event in Marvel Rivals. Once the event launches on July 17, players will be able to progress through a new cosmetic pass. While Thor's Worthy Waves skin will be available to players for free, those wishing to claim summer costumes for The Thing and Luna Snow will need to purchase the premium version of the pass. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
