NetEase Games has revealed that Marvel Rivals will be launching a new type of cosmetic called accessories with the launch of Season 3 on July 11. In addition to releasing new cosmetics, Marvel Rivals will also be adding Phoenix to the popular hero shooter's ever-expanding roster with the debut of Season 3.

The upcoming season will introduce a wide variety of changes meant to improve the experience of players. It was recently revealed that Marvel Rivals will be removing daily missions, which will change the way Chrono Tokens are distributed throughout the course of a season. Instead, Season 3 seems to have a strong focus on weekly missions, which will continue to roll over if the player doesn't complete them during the week that they're introduced. Many fans seem to believe the change will eliminate some of the grind that was present in previous seasons. Moving forward, seasons will only last for two months, meaning gamers can expect to see fresh content even more frequently than before.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games revealed that a new type of cosmetic will be added to the game with the launch of Season 3 of Marvel Rivals. These cosmetics are called accessories and, from the footage shown, they appear to be character-specific. For instance, Spider-Man can be seen sporting the MJ Plush, which hangs from the back of his hip. This allows the player to see the accessory at all times without creating too much visual clutter. One of the accessories is even a plush of Deadpool, a character who is not currently available as a playable hero.

Marvel Rivals Is Introducing Free Accessories

According to the post, players will be able to acquire these cosmetics without using any of Marvel Rivals' existing currencies. Instead, gamers will earn Accessory Points by playing the Quick Match and Competitive game modes. Players will then be able to trade these Accessory Points for hero-exclusive cosmetics.
